“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.”

Why must you embrace change? Change is the flow of life. It’s the natural order of all things to evolve. Otherwise, one is left in a stagnant state of mind. This stagnancy causes the outside factors of your life to be put in what I would call a standstill. This means that all of the things in your life keep placing you in a perpetual “Ground Hogs Day”, lol. How can anything become different when you still think the same? Doing the same things. Making the same decisions. Keeping and making the same type friends and other relationships. Choosing the same type of jobs. Watching the same kind of films. Listening to the same kind of music. Etc, etc… You get the idea.
Not allowing for change, allows for nothing new to enter into your life. You can never learn, deepen, and grow in your life when you give permission for the “same ‘ole, same ‘ole”. Holding on to the old NEVER makes way for the new and improved. People approach their lives in this manner all of the time, yet have the nerve to ask “Why does this keep happening to me?” It has never occurred to them that maybe, just maybe, they are on the road of resistance and self-sabotage. They don’t bother to really look inside and then ask themselves, what may be the driving force and ultimate root of their problem.

Let’s take a hard look at what that problem really is. That problem is fear. Most individuals fear change because the unknown leaves a feeling of having no self control over what may happen. The unknown leaves uncertainty. Now, common sense let’s us know that nothing is guaranteed and for absolute certain. But that is no excuse to not make the needed changes that you need so much to get the ball rolling i your life.

Fear is crippling and can render a person powerless. You can imagine how and why someone would avoid feelings of powerlessness, and that’s totally understandable. However, not changing actually brings about the very thing we all attempt to avoid. We truly attract what we are trying to desperately to run away from. When issues aren’t confronted, they are simply swept under the rug only to multiply. When we finally do get to these mountains of conundrums, we are left overwhelmed and are put into a position give up altogether. None of this serves us.

Once again, you must ask yourself: Why can’t I change? What do I fear about this change? What things am I frightened to lose, due to the change? What part or parts of myself am I scared to change, and why?
The reasons and the questions are endless. All of us have unique lives and personalities so you can’t pin point what that may be for someone else. You can only work on YOU. No one else can do it for you. It is you that has sole responsibility for all that is in your life. You must consider and decide what things to keep, and what things you must lose in order to fine tune and enrich your own life.

So, once again… Why must you embrace change? Ponder that one for awhile and see what you come up with. I guarantee that you will be surprised that the answer that comes up from within you. Once you learn that fact, you can never turn back to what once was in your mind. Even if you decide to pretend and go into denial. Things WILL change whether it was you who put the change into motion, or someone else. Either way, you cannot escape it.

Thanks for allowing me to share my moment of thought for this day.

Namaste,

Jamie

Seek out that particular mental attribute which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive, along with which comes the inner voice which says, “This is the real me,” and when you have found that attitude, follow it.~ William James Quotes

  1. excellent post.

  2. I agree that we must change in order to
grow and experience new things,Also,we must
learn how to utilize our fears so they cause
us to act(instead of doing nothing).
